We are signed up to be part of the Keep Britain Tidy Great British Spring Clean Weekend 3rd to 5th March 2017. We hold two clean-ups per year and are joined by volunteers from the area to clear the pathways of litter. Knowsley MBC support us by removing the bags of rubbish when we finish. We welcome anyone, who is willing, to pick with us. Gloves, bags and pickers are all provided. Come and join us at 10am, Friday 3rd March 2017, at Holy Family Car Park. Only 5 people turned up to pick litter together today, 3rd March, as part of the Keep Britain Tidy Great British Spring Clean, but between us we gathered 38 bags. Another 2 were picked by a volunteer earlier so that made a total of 40 bags. Thank you to those who joined in. We managed to tidy up Sandy Lane, Cronton Road, Hall Lane, The Pasture, Penny Lane and Tue Lane and we're grateful to Knowsley and Halton Neighbourhood Teams for promptly removing the bags.
The next group litter pick will be in the autumn but between times, as individuals, we pick areas when we see litter building up. .
