Please meet at Holy Family car park at 10am to litter-pick the hot-spots in the village. Litter-pickers, gloves and bags are all provided. All help most welcome. A small band of 6 gathered to do our autumn clean-up, including one lady from Rainhill, who regularly walks the pathways in the village. Between us, we managed to collect 40 bags of litter from Cronton Road, Pex Hill Avenue, Mill Lane, Penny Lane, Tue Lane and Sandy Lane, which were removed by Knowsley MBC Neighbourhoood Team. It was obvious, when travelling along Cronton Road towards Tarbock later today, to see where the litter had not been picked because we hadn't done it! Thanks to all involved. It's great to see the village looking so neat..

Test Valley Clean Up
The A3057 and A3090 are usually full of litter and the verges are only cleared infrequently - and in many places never. In the Summer it does not look so bad because of the grass - but come the Winter! A number of more minor roads are also left with litter because it would seem that Test Valley Borough Council only cares, if at all, about Andover and Romsey. The aim is to get Test Valley BC to do what it is required to do under the EPA for the district as a whole and not just the main urban areas.

Keep Forebridge Tidy
Keep Forebridge Tidy is a group made up of likeminded individuals within the Forebridge Ward of Stafford who want to keep the area tidy. The scheme works by each volunteer taking ownership of their street, selection of streets or part of their street and keeping it free from litter by conducting regular litter picks. No formal litter picks are arranged allowing volunteers to litter pick as and when they can.

Saltwells Clean & Green
