Keynsham Wombles

Ravenfield Rubbish Rascals
We have 26 active litter pickers each one of whom takes responsibility for a stretch of road or an area of green space. We meet occasionally to review tactics and to swop ideas. We have a massive litter pick once a year to shift an area of accumulated rubbish. We have good relations with the Parish Council and the local authority who are great at clearing flytipping when we inform them.

Tidy Tetbury Team
The Tidy Tetbury Team aims to bring together all those who want to see Tetbury kept tidy and looking good and who are happy to help achieve this by coming out to pick up litter. At the moment, we think that the obvious areas that need tidying up from time to time are likely to be The Rec, the area by the old railway shed, Love Lane (between Tesco and The Chipping) and the path behind Hampton Stores that leads to William Romney's School. But we also think that the Tidy Tetbury Team should be there to help and join in with anyone who wants to tackle the litter problem in their part of Tetbury. Our aim is not only to keep Tetbury tidy but to have fun and make new friends as we do so. Forres Community Clean Up
I have set up this group as I have been cleaning the burn near the Mosset Tavern since early 2011. The river fills up with plastic, glass and an assortment of garbage on a regular occasion. I am barely making any in roads into keeping the river clean and so I thought it would be great to have other community member join in to help. Together we can make the river a great place for the enjoyment of the community. In 2016, we merged our group with Forres Community Clean Up, a local group that cleans the streets and public places in Forres. Joe Pirnie is the co-ordinator of this group
