Regular Thursday evening nitpicking. 2 bags of rubbish collected. Bottles, cans, food wrappers, cigarette ends, only one pre-wrapped bag of doggie poo. Evidence of two evening picnics that had probably been hastily abandoned when we got a sudden downpour last night. One of them, by the solitary park bench must have disbanded in such a hurry that they left behind almost a whole crate of lager. This has gone to a good home..

We are a small group of Volunteers passionate about keeping our Town and Country clean. We get out and about most days collecting rubbish from our hedgerows, parks and walks. We are happy to work with other local groups and organisations including educational talks and bringing awareness to this problem we have in our Towns and Country. The Parish Pickers started as 3 small bands of willing volunteers in in the St Stephen Parish near St Albans and by combining forces and with better advertising through posters and social media we have grown to a 50 strong group of mostly fantastic \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'Lone Rangers\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'.
