Regular Thursday evening nitpicking. 2 bags of rubbish collected. Bottles, cans, food wrappers, cigarette ends, only one pre-wrapped bag of doggie poo. Evidence of two evening picnics that had probably been hastily abandoned when we got a sudden downpour last night. One of them, by the solitary park bench must have disbanded in such a hurry that they left behind almost a whole crate of lager. This has gone to a good home..

I am retired and collect litter as an individual. I started litter picking when I was living in Small Heath and collected more than 1,750 bags over a three year period. I have now moved to Coseley, which is far less blighted by litter, but it is still about. I collect litter two or three times a week around Upper Ettingshall Road, Ivy House Lane, Shaw Road and roads and alleys leading from that area.
