We are having our annual Riverbank Cleanup on the morning of Saturday 14th May – please join us at 11.00am at the Sailing Club. The aim is to remove all the litter and debris from the riverbank from the Power Station, down past the Sailing Club, to the village boundary towards Whale Wharf. Families and children are very welcome – kids love collecting litter - and we plan, as usual, to finish the cleanup with a BBQ at 13.00 to reward you for your hard work ! There is no cost to take part and all necessary equipment will be provided. 36 people turned out to help at the Riverbank Cleanup last year – let’s see if we can beat that this time. In case you wonder why we are holding it in the morning this year, it’s because that’s when low tide is – we don’t want anyone floating off to Wales for the afternoon. .
