All hands to the pump - Combined Litter Pick, Alverstoke Litter Pickers please be at Morrisons Supermarket at 0930 hrs. We will then proceed up to the White Hart where we will meet with the other groups. I would then like to buy all our group an Olympic drink of your choice as a thank you for your efforts. Richard Well done Val, Stuart, Sue, Neena and Lorraine. Although only one bag was collected Lorraine explained it was quite clean and the litter was mostly cigarette ends etc. The weather was dry and I hope it stays that way for the rest of the day so can enjoy the events. By the way, Lorraine says I owe her £20 for drinks mmmm ... I am now going to post the next event which I will be home for. Richard .

Erdington Litter Busters
Erdington Litter Busters was founded in June 2018 by Rob Gunnell. The idea was to start cleaning up Erdington bit by bit, then grow into a community of volunteers who could keep the area clean. Now we have some support, and a growing group of us meet up twice a month on Saturday mornings near Six Ways island, clear different areas, and have a friendly coffee afterwards. The more people that help us, the greater the difference we can make - and people are already seeing the area improving.

Friends of Charlton Brook
FRIENDS OF CHARLTON BROOK are an environmental group consisting of local people who aim to restore Charlton Brook and the dam to it's former glory. New members are always welcome and encouraged to take part in litter picks and fund raising events. Local folk will know the area very well as a pleasant walk between the Barrel Inn and the Bridge Inn. FOCB are currently working with Sheffield City Council Parks and Countryside and Environmental Planning, Wildlife trust and other local groups. Public green spaces improve the look of an area for everybody, they increase bio-diversity and counteract the effects of global warming. Sadly Charlton Brook needs care and attention, which has been lacking for many years. Our Aims De-Silting of the dam and stream. Improved Fishing Facilities. Better footpaths and lighting and to include disabled access. New seating, litter and dog bins. Regular refuse clearance. Improvement of BMX track and installation of robust playground. Woodland management to increase diversity of the wildlife habitat.
