Starting from Straits Parade at 11am on Sunday 20th November. ... Weather permitting. As of one week before, the forecast looks okay for the Sunday, but sign up to stay informed of any late changes. As usual, we'll start by clearing litter on Straits Parade and decide where to focus on. If there's a litter troublespot or somewhere that could do with a one-time blitz, please let us know. We'd noticed that the council have been litter picking and leaf collecting along and near Straits Parade, so this needed very little work and we quickly moved down Fishponds Road to New Station Road. We cleared the zone along New Station Road and the triangle of Brook Road & Station Road up to the roundabout. As usual there was a lot of debris caught in the hedgerows near the roundabout and some flytipping (which we've reported to the council). The rest of us headed beyond the Cross Hands towards Stanbury Avenue.
It was a shortish litter pick of 1 hour, but between 9 of us we still collected 12 bags of rubbish. Thanks to Geoff, Carol, Stuart, Jo, Michael, Pete, Louise, Tony and Paul..
