Meet at 11am on Ermine Street just south of the village. Look out for my pick up! We hope to get as far as Appleby Level Crossing today. You are welcome to join us for just an hour or until we finish around 3.30pm. As before, equipment is provided. There's no heavy lifting or bending - we have long handled litter-picking sticks!! WE DID IT!! Well done everyone! We cleared the paths and verges from Appleby all the way to Dawes Lane end, just beyond the level crossing! Three volunteers, 33 sacks of rubbish, 2 big pick up loads to the tip! .

An important part of our work is with young people. We have met with Junior schools, Brownies and Cubs, and talked about the reduction of litter and recycling.
We liaise with other environmental groups in the area, particularly those with similar aims to ours and we work closely with the local Borough Council.
