Meeting up for an hour on a regular basis can really make a difference. Times/dates will appear on the village FaceBook Group page, or contact me if you wish to help but don't belong to FaceBook (tel: 735439) January 6th - a quick dash round the village - 1 big sack full! January 7th - thanks to Rick's help we cleared the top end of a very badly littered Risby Road, 6 bags filled to the brim and 2 tyres cleared! February 1st and 2nd - A good litter picking session on Saturday resulted in around a dozen sacks. We tidied from the village up to the level crossing. On Sunday we filled another 8 sacks tidying Risby Road. A fly tip on Brackenholmes Lane was reported to NLC. February 17th - Risby Road middle section and Ermine Street north today. 11 bags filled. .

Kirstead Cleaners

We Generally pick Monday’s 10:00am, meet Station car park. We extend a warm welcome to new volunteers. We can provide all the litter picking equipment, insurance and training. If you can't attend one of our regular weekly picks but would like to collect litter in your own time using our insurance / support, this is the perfectly fine. Every little bit of help counts! The Green Army
The Green Army has been founded to tackle litter along rural routes around the villages of Harrold, Odell and Carlton in Bedfordshire. Roadside verges leading in and out of these villages will be targeted in a bid to keep our surrounding countryside clean and beautiful, and to provide safe habitats for local wildlife.
