While the weather holds (and before a blanket of snow arrives and hides the litter!) we will continue to keep the lanes around the village clean, going as far as Dawes Lane south and Winterton Lane North, as well as the length of Risby Road. We also hope to clean the road to Brigg - we need help for this! I estimate we would fill 300 sacks on that road, it would be a huge achievement and to see the verges clear of litter would round off 2012! We will post here when we have decided on a date. If you think you can help please ring me: 01724735439 We did Risby Road again today - the full length, 2.6 miles, filling 12 bags of mainly fast-food waste!.

Mossley Hill
Having written to the council and asked them what they're doing about the litter in the area I thought this looked interesting. Not sure if there are any other people around Mossley Hill who aren't keen on the litter, particularly around Rose Lane but I wondered there might be enough people to do a group litter collection sometime. Fylde Litter Action Group (FLAG)
Fylde Litter Action Group (FLAG) is a partnership between Fylde Council departments and various other local organisations, street reps and voluntary groups that are concerned with tackling litter within the Fylde Council area, including the St Annes Beach Care Group, Fairhaven Coastal Care Group and The Friends of the Estuary Coastal Care Group in Lytham.
