Work will include the usual range of activities such as litter picking, removal of rubbish and trimming bushes near paths as well as some planting of wild flowers. Volunteers should meet up between the bull ring and the ponds. Tools, protective equipment and drinks will be provided but volunteers should bring their own packed lunches if required. Come for just an hour or for the whole period (10.00am to 3.00pm): it’s up to you. Whatever help you can give will be greatly appreciated. A small but dedicated team of nine adults turned out in beautiful weather to improve Eastfield Park. They concentrated their efforts this year on clearing litter and other rubbish from in and around the lake. It was disturbing to discover that, apart from the usual collection of drinks cans and fast food cartons, several bundles of leaflets advertising a pizza deliver company had been dumped in the lake.
