Come and join us on Thursday 2nd October 2014 from 2pm until 4pm. We'll be meeting on the promenade at Crimdon then a short walk to the beach to collect the litter. Everyone is welcome. Look out for our Beach Clean flag! Any questions please call Durham Heritage Coast 03000 28131. .

I started litter picking as I was annoyed by the litter in the hedges outside Roys supermarket and it snowballed from there. I regularly litter pick around the village and also other areas whilst out and about. I am doing this for the wildlife and the environment.

We have come together to do positive things, where we can see ways we can help, to make our town even better than we already know it is. We love Broadstairs. We know that most of the people who live here do too and that visitors often fall in love with it from the moment they arrive. It's a great place. But nowhere is perfect and let's face it, if it was it would be boring. We're always thinking of new ideas of things we can do that will make a positive difference and address some of the issues and challenges our town faces.
