The picker uppers

As a resident's group we are keen to maintain and protect our environment

We will go out once a week over the weekend to pick up litter in the local area. Nice way to meet new people and tidy up the local area!

I am going to door to door for this campaign as soon as I get litter pickers kit.

Are you fed up to walking around your local area and seeing litter everywhere? Well we are!!! So we are standing up and doing something about it. We are based in Keyham by college road primary school and we are going to tidy our local area. Recycle what we can and dispose of the rest! If you want a clean street and to set an example of community pride to our youth JOIN US. Gloves and bags will be provided.

Raising awareness campaign. Connecting all interested groups and individuals, under the umbrella Pick Up For Pendle. Aiming to encourage more people to pick-up and offenders to take note!

Starting with the waterways around the local schools, we aim to bring Warwick back to its former glory, allowing the wildlife to thrive once again and removing the rubbish near neighborhoods.

We are a voluntary litter picking group in Witham, Essex, who are passionate about keeping our local area tidy and free of litter. We meet up once a month at various locations across the town and are always looking for new volunteers! We love getting the community together and have previously had amazing assistance from the Witham & District Lionesses as well as local schools and Brownies and Beavers groups. We have also been interviewed by BBC Essex and received a Community & Safety Award from Witham Neighbourhood Watch! Group created to bring the community together against litter and fly-tipping in the area. To help keep our village and surrounding areas clean, green and safe. With nature and wildlife in mind.

Currently most of the work is done by my Border Collie who collects crisp and other wrappers and plastic bottles. She then finds the nearest waste bin and puts the litter in it. She has been doing this for the past 5 years.

WE litter pick, sweep, clean rivers etc..anything to clean and brighten Calne and surrounding countryside. If you would like to adopt your street or neighbourhood we can assist you with getting set up. Pickers are also available from the town council to borrow.
