Medlock Vale, Oldham. We are a dedicated group of individuals whom stride to keep our town and wards clean and tidy, through volunteers who give up their time and effort to improve our communities in Oldham. Plus with help from our local businesses and authorities we will keep Oldham clean and suitable to live and work in.

Fishponds Clean Streets was established in 2016 and is run by a few volunteers with the aim of helping keep the streets cleaner of litter. There was an extended period owing to COVID restrictions when we were not able to operate, however we are back up and running again now. We usually meet for an hour and a half on a Saturday morning once a month and always publicise our litter picks here on this page, where we also report on our activity after each litter pick. Thanks to those who joined in on Sat 5th Feb and to Rachel for coming along with her family. Between us we collected 7 sacks of rubbish and 6 of recyclables. We hope to meet again in March, so do keep an eye on this page for updates! Starting with the waterways around the local schools, we aim to bring Warwick back to its former glory, allowing the wildlife to thrive once again and removing the rubbish near neighborhoods.

Our objectives are: - Keep our area free from litter, rough sleeping, drugs etc, working closely with the Council and its contractors - Look after our stretch of the river and its habitat - Support other groups to help keep Peterborough free from litter - Help to promote a climate where it is unacceptable to drop litter - Work cooperatively with the council to clean up Peterborough

Formed to bring together those who are working to keep Mount Pleasant tidy. We hope to meet on a regular basis to target problem areas, whilst maintaining individual efforts to keep small areas tidy.

The Group operates under the aegis of the Town Council. Every Sunday morning, at 9.00, a small band of volunteers (open to anyone to attend) meets at the Civic Centre to conduct a 'swift-pick' in the worst-affected areas (finishing at about 11.00). The Campaign has moved onto taking small patches of public land in the town and overseeing planting out and maintenance. The town's annual beautiful gardens competition is organised by the Group. The Group joins the annual clear-up of the River Uck that flows through the town. Weeding pavements and cutting back undergrowth are also tasks that are taken on. Most of this work is concentrated on the town centre, but a network of 'litter pickers' is being gradually established on the estates around the town. Volunteers are provided with a hi-vi vest, a litter picking stick, gloves and refuse sacks - and we even have wheeled trolleys to take round with you to deal with the large amounts of litter on a Sunday morning. The Campaign has its own (Don't be a) "Mucky Duck" logo.

At Pathway neighborhood, we are working for a better society, by giving the young people chances to learn how to act, develop, express, earn, belong and influence there community in a positive way. It is important to stress that young people, just like adults, learn through active participation.
