Hi, I'm Holly and I'm starting out litter picking to help make the area I live in cleaner and more attractive. I walk to work some days and I always marvel at how much rubbish there is, especially after bin collection days and it stays on the streets for weeks, so I wanted to do something about it! Alone but hopefully not for long, I have started picking litter in my area to make it a cleaner and more enjoyable place for everyone. I hope as I get more experience at this I can rally together the troops to start a regular litter picking group to help out and clean up Sopwell! This is a new group that I am setting up. I have in the past 15 years picked up over 5,000 bags of litter in North Harrow and surrounding area. There's more that can be done and I need your help and also help you in your area. Come and join us the Harrow Litterbusters!

We are a friendly group of people who want to keep Great Horton tidy and clean

We have about 350 members, and about 50 active .This year we have collected 3200 bags of rubbish

We are a voluntary litter picking group in Witham, Essex, who are passionate about keeping our local area tidy and free of litter. We meet up once a month at various locations across the town and are always looking for new volunteers! We love getting the community together and have previously had amazing assistance from the Witham & District Lionesses as well as local schools and Brownies and Beavers groups. We have also been interviewed by BBC Essex and received a Community & Safety Award from Witham Neighbourhood Watch! I live in a rural part of Staffordshire we aim to provide safe and clean areas that our children and children's children can be proud of and to be able to drive or walk down our countries lanes without seeing all this rubbish.

I have started picking up litter at my local playing field and I collect it from my street. It upsets me that people have no regard or respect for the area that they live and I have decided to do something about it.

OxClean is an Oxford Civic Society initiative dedicated to cleaning up Oxford and keeping our city clean and tidy all year round. The overall objective is to establish our streets and public spaces as places designed for the safe enjoyment of the people. Our strategy is to both clean up accumulated litter and rubbish and to prevent the problem occurring in the first place.
