Litter Action Group for Ealing Residents (LAGER Can)

We are part of the Litter-Free Purbeck Group. Our aim is to tackle the litter problem by engaging the broader community to raise awareness of what can be done, not only by litter-picking activities, but also to deal with the varous sources of the problem at corporate and individual levels.

The group was initiated by the Parish Council with the aim of ensuring that our village and its environs are kept neat and tidy and as litterfree as possible. We welcome more helpers at our next litterpick on Saturday 21st March 2009.

Recently I have been on a mission to clean up the litter in my local area and I need help from local people. The aim of the group is to tackle litter blackspots in Tonbridge and the surrounding area, especially around local woods, paths, parks and local playgrounds. Litter can be harmful to wildlife, and its not nice to see when walking in the local park with my son. I want to organise local litter picking/clean up days to improve the local environment for everyone. In times when the local councils are cutting funds for street cleaners the litter problem will be sure to get worse, we all have a responsibility to improve our local environment. Erdington Litter Busters was founded in June 2018 by Rob Gunnell. The idea was to start cleaning up Erdington bit by bit, then grow into a community of volunteers who could keep the area clean. Now we have some support, and a growing group of us meet up twice a month on Saturday mornings near Six Ways island, clear different areas, and have a friendly coffee afterwards. The more people that help us, the greater the difference we can make - and people are already seeing the area improving.

We are a rural Scout group comprising of beavers cubs and scouts totaling about 100 children plus adult volunteers. Age range 6 - 15 years old. We take from approximately 13 villages in and around the Stockbridge Area. We are passionate about working with educating the young people and teaching them how to enjoy the outdoors

Currently litter picking in the Bellfields area of Guildford. New volunteers welcome for this and all other Guildford areas!

We cover the whole of Northamptonshire, at July 2021 we have 2600+members and have collected 22,000+ bags since Feb 2021. Please see our Facebook page for details on group picks etc
