Kirton clean up crew

Recently I have been on a mission to clean up the litter in my local area and I need help from local people. The aim of the group is to tackle litter blackspots in Tonbridge and the surrounding area, especially around local woods, paths, parks and local playgrounds. Litter can be harmful to wildlife, and its not nice to see when walking in the local park with my son. I want to organise local litter picking/clean up days to improve the local environment for everyone. In times when the local councils are cutting funds for street cleaners the litter problem will be sure to get worse, we all have a responsibility to improve our local environment. The Shedfield Society was formed in 1993 for the public benefit: (i) To promote high standards of planning and architecture in or affecting the village of Shedfield. (ii) To educate the public in the geography, history, natural history and architecture of the village of Shedfield. (iii) To secure the preservation, protection and development and improvement of features of historic or public interest in the village of Shedfield. The Shedfield Society is registered with the Civic Voice and is a member of the Campaign to Protect Rural England.

The Townsend Together Team (3Ts) is an action group for Townsend. The group is made up of residents and organisations. The group has helped reduce crime & anti social behaviour and has improved the local environment, youth provision and community cohesion. The group meets once a month.

Pick up litter. And check on elderly in community all must have a electronic CRB. Chat to people on our way. And be the eyes of the community of chaucer. Help residents get out and do exercise and advice on wellbeing lifestyles. Tackle there issues they are facing and try to make a difference in the community build a effective cohesiveness in all of the community\'s. And much more. Guide youths to be productive and to find there visions and guide them into it.

Petersfield Pickers Community Group has been formed by a number of volunteers on the Petersfield Pulse Facebook Community Page. Members of Petersfield Pulse are all from Petersfield and surrounding areas.

South Street is a rural area of east Kent close to the village of Boughton. The purpose of the group is to encourage regular walkers from the area to help keep roads and footpaths clear and tidy.

The Group consists of volunteers who carry out conservation and practical tasks within the Park at Havering-atte-Bower. We hold regular monthly 'litter picks; and encourage all Park users to be responsible for their litter,use the bins provided and aim to increase general awareness of litter,recycling and re-using and composting.
