The Hilltop Litter Pickers aim to keep our attractive rural town clean and litter free, both for residents and for the thousands of visitors to its picturesque Gold Hill every year. The group work closely with both the Dorset Waste Partnership and Shaftesbury Town Council. We have been sponsored by the Shaftesbury Chamber of Commerce and local companies Imprint Graphics and Going Underground. Financial support has also been provided through the Community Matters scheme funded by our local Waitrose supermarket in Gillingham. The team meets at the Tesco recycling site, off Christy\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s Lane, at 2.30pm on the first and third Wednesdays of every month. New volunteers are always welcome.

Bennett\'s Community Crew are a team of people from Bennett Restaurants Ltd. (a franchise of McDonald\'s) who want to make a difference in their local area. We currently have 18 restaurants across Hampshire, Dorset & Wiltshire and St Helier in Jersey. As well as doing litter patrols on a daily basis in our local areas, we have bigger events at least quarterly. We have been working in our local communities from before 2011 however only formed as Bennett\'s Community Crew in early 2015. We have a Planet Champion in each of our restaurants who champion their local community. We are always looking for local events to take part in.

Litter picks are held once a month for both Key Hill Cemetery & Warstone Lane Cemetery Est 2004 in Birmingham Jewellery Quarter, Hockley. Free places to book are via the website Eventbrite . You can book a place to volunteer or to book our guided tours the second Sunday of the month of both cemeteries here via website Eventbrite. The Friends of Key Hill Cemetery & Warstone Lane Cemetery are the only group to care for the cemeteries & raise funds for grave restoration

Helping to keep litter in check in Richmond Hill, Leeds. We will support as many local litter picks as possible but also national events such as The Great British Spring Clean and Love Parks Week, or even global ones like World Rivers Day and World Cleanup Day. The Climate Innovation District (CID) is a modern development of low carbon housing on the banks of the river Aire in Leeds.

The Trust has been in existence for over 20 years but only started its annual spring litter pick in 2007. Normally between 10 and 20 people turn out to help. We also have individual members that keep their local area free of litter. We are a registered charity, which aims to improve the environment in the village and promote a high standard of development, whether it be in new buildings or the renovation and alteration of existing property. We aim to secure the protection and improvement of features of public and historic interest and encourage an interest in the history of the area. Issues that we have addressed over recent years include the desirability and standard of new development proposals and changes to the use and appearance of existing buildings, a wide variety of traffic and highway issues, litter and dog fouling. We have arranged for the erection of plaques to provide information about people and buildings of historic interest, organised village litter pick days and had a variety of speakers at our open meetings. We have presented Design Awards for the best new development, following a poll of members. In the past we have published booklets of items about the history and development of the village and produced a leaflet of heritage trails in the village. More recently we have produced a local directory and been assisting the local businesses and community groups in organising the Shotley Bridge Victorian Christmas Weekend, including litter picks to keep the village looking attractive during the event. In 2011 we were awarded 'outstanding' in the RHS 'It's Your Neighbourhood" award scheme for Britain in Bloom. We have purchased 50 flower tubs, 8 barrier baskets and a trough for the conservation area and our volunteers plant and maintain summer & winter bedding. in 2012 we entered Northumbria in Bloom and were awarded Silver. We gained a Silver Gilt in 2013 and again in 2014. We are aiming for Gold in 2015. Each year we give awards for the best business & residential floral displays. Litter picking in Epping Forest

The B roads and public walking routes and fields between Corfe Mullen and Wimborne are becoming dropzones for litter impacting on scenery and wildlife. I regularly pick up litter on walks and encourage others to do likewise. Aim...reduce litter in BH21 and surrounds tok eep our area beautiful.

Winchester Litter Pickers were founded in 1995 when three people decided to do more about the litter problem in and around the City. Currently (December 2021) we have over 40 active volunteers and many more supporters. We think it is especially important to give visitors to Winchester a good impression of the City. During the summer months we tidy the Outer Close of the Cathedral daily in the late afternoon and on Monday mornings throughout the year we clear the approaches to the railways station. Twice a month on Wednesday mornings we clear suburban areas in turn, concentrating on the streets and open spaces near the local shops and in particularly bad black spots. We are very much into recycling, recovering the cans, glass and plastic bottles we collect wherever practicable. We are also keen to limit the damaging effects of plastic litter. We are a very sociable group and normally meet up for hot drinks and chats after our litter picks. We also have a very popular annual party.
