Starting up a group in Folkestone. Looking for people to join me.

We have come together to do positive things, where we can see ways we can help, to make our town even better than we already know it is. We love Broadstairs. We know that most of the people who live here do too and that visitors often fall in love with it from the moment they arrive. It's a great place. But nowhere is perfect and let's face it, if it was it would be boring. We're always thinking of new ideas of things we can do that will make a positive difference and address some of the issues and challenges our town faces. Our aim therefore : Make Broadstairs an even nicer place to work in, live in or visit.

RAYS has been funded by a grant from TESCO to provide equipment and by Reading Borough Council (RBC) to provide equipment storage, promotion of the RAYS project, support in building groups and insurance for RAYS volunteers. The RAYS project covers the whole of the RBC area and will support groups, individuals and schools/uniformed groups to adopt a part of Reading.

Litter picking and much much more in Stanmore Country Park, Stanmore Common & Ponds. Green Gym work outs can include helping volunteer wardens with various projects, including shrub clearance, bramble cutting-back, unwanted shoot removal and any other environmental jobs under guidance! We have guided walks with knowledgeable wardens and keen amateurs. This is an opportunity to meet new people and enjoy quiet and lovely natual environments in north west London. All this and litter picking too! Come and join us!! The litter-picking is just one means of keeping these rural areas pleasant for all kinds of aminal users including human ones!

Handsworth Helping Hands is a voluntary group committed to improving the quality of life in Handsworth, Birmingham. This may be by carrying out environmental work such as street clean-ups and clearing and planting public spaces, or by helping residents with jobs they can't or don't have the means to do for themselves. Whenever possible, we recycle materials and items such as furniture and toys that we find on the street or which are donated to us.

We\'ve had a gap of a few years but I\'m keen to start \'making a difference\' once again in and around Stamford Bridge. please contact me on 07771972542 to find out when the next litter pick will be or simply head out on your own and let me know how many bags of rubbish you\'ve collected so I can add that to our total.

We have 26 active litter pickers each one of whom takes responsibility for a stretch of road or an area of green space. We meet occasionally to review tactics and to swop ideas. We have a massive litter pick once a year to shift an area of accumulated rubbish. We have good relations with the Parish Council and the local authority who are great at clearing flytipping when we inform them.

I am tired of seeing rubbish and dog fouling in my local area. We have a beautiful park and nature reserve and I'm seeing more and more fly tipping not just here but all around my local area. I am hoping there are like minded people out there who for a few hours whenever you can we can organise a clean up of the most blighted places and into the bargain get some much needed excercise and make a few friends along the way. Our area around Cornwallis is in a terrible state, with litter everywhere! Dog litter packets laying around, as dog walkers ignore bins and drop off points along the way. At the moment our group only consists of 2 people, Isabella and Tessi Askew. If anyone wants to join, please email tessi.askew19@gmail.com. We could widen the fight on litter. Every little bit helps! Let's return the respect the environment deserves!
