Hello all, I will be inspecting a few places when I get home next week and suggest a place to pick. The time will 1000 hrs. However, If any of you have any ideas please email me and I could look at that area. Just to let you know something that I am trying to get off the ground is a litter pick on Burrow Island. This would again involve all the groups in the area and help from the council. Anyway, we will see how it goes and I will keep you posted. Cheers, Richard Magnificent effort everyone, We have collected 13 bags, two shopping trolleys, tv case, battery and two old carpet pieces. I will have pleasure in phoning Streetscene Monday morning to tell them where to collect this little lot. Once again thank you, well done, and I hope you were able to wash off the lake "gunge" ok. Bennett\'s Community Crew are a team of people from Bennett Restaurants Ltd. (a franchise of McDonald\'s) who want to make a difference in their local area. We currently have 18 restaurants across Hampshire, Dorset & Wiltshire and St Helier in Jersey. As well as doing litter patrols on a daily basis in our local areas, we have bigger events at least quarterly. We have been working in our local communities from before 2011 however only formed as Bennett\'s Community Crew in early 2015. Fenton litter pickers
I am tired of seeing rubbish and dog fouling in my local area. We have a beautiful park and nature reserve and I'm seeing more and more fly tipping not just here but all around my local area. I am hoping there are like minded people out there who for a few hours whenever you can we can organise a clean up of the most blighted places and into the bargain get some much needed excercise and make a few friends along the way. Weston Litter Group
Weston Litter Group was set up in 2010. We meet on the 1st Saturday of every month at the Moravian Church car-park (just off the High Street roundabout). We cover all areas of Weston, such as the High Street, The Rec, Southlands, Eastville Avenue, Broadmoor Lane, Cotswold Way etc. We have all our own equipment....McDonalds have kindly donated 10 litter grabbers, Chaplins Newsagents abled us to purchase 20 pairs of gloves and Bath & NE Somerset Council supply us with bags and a collection service.
