Woodland Litter Pick

10 volunteers (including 3 children) joined us for a litter pick of the woodland today. Between us we collected 14 bags of litter in one hour. So that's 31 bags of litter from the woodland within 2 weeks 😯😯😯 The amazing volunteers have been painting rocks with anti litter messages and pictures and will be leaving them around Newbiggin so if you find one please share it to Facebook..

Great British Beach Clean

We have registered to take part in the Marine Conservation Society's Great British Bean Clean. We will be cleaning up the bay in Newbiggin at 2pm on Sunday 16th September. We hope to see you there!

RAYS (Reading Adopt Your Street)
RAYS has been funded by a grant from TESCO to provide equipment and by Reading Borough Council (RBC) to provide equipment storage, promotion of the RAYS project, support in building groups and insurance for RAYS volunteers. Kirstead Cleaners
We have an annual clean up in the village and mainly on the by-pass which seems to attract vast swathes of rubbish from passing motorists. This event occurs some time in April each year, notice via the Parish Meeting or notice board. We have litter grabbers, safety jackets and black bags!

Weymouth dog Beach Walkers
We are a group of dog walkers who regularly walk Weymouth Beach and notice litter being left behind by beach users. On 6th November we collected over 10 bags of litter left from Guy Fawkes night.

OxClean is an Oxford Civic Society initiative dedicated to cleaning up Oxford and keeping our city clean and tidy all year round. The overall objective is to establish our streets and public spaces as places designed for the safe enjoyment of the people.
