Clean our patch - litter pickers
Are you fed up to walking around your local area and seeing litter everywhere? Well we are!!! So we are standing up and doing something about it. We are based in Keyham by college road primary school and we are going to tidy our local area. Recycle what we can and dispose of the rest! Living near the recreation ground and being a dog walker I usually pick up litter whilst wandering and have taken part in litter clearance events in Chelmsford. My hope is that by setting up this group I can act as a focal point for local residents in helping to maintain the beauty of this town by taking part in occasional "pick-up" events.

OxClean is an Oxford Civic Society initiative dedicated to cleaning up Oxford and keeping our city clean and tidy all year round. The overall objective is to establish our streets and public spaces as places designed for the safe enjoyment of the people. Our strategy is to both clean up accumulated litter and rubbish and to prevent the problem occurring in the first place. Red Lodge Parish Litter Pickers are a group which formed after Villagers suggested that the Parish should start a group to tackle the littering in the Village. Councillor Ian Thompson has organised the event with support from the Parish Council, it is to make the Village a more enjoyable place to live and bring the Community together to work as a team.
