Meet at Dove Cottage Debenham at 10 am and again at 12. Pizza, cake and tea and coffee available. Wow, what a turn out! 37 people in the morning and 6 in the afternoon. 103 kg collected plus 8kg of glass, 4 hub caps . A truly social community event, and a godd way to monitor the litter in Debenham , and then decide how to respond.Posters and lealflets have been drafted by professional graphic designer- next step to get them out there , and hopefully have impact!.

Tonbridge Litter Pickers
Recently I have been on a mission to clean up the litter in my local area and I need help from local people. The aim of the group is to tackle litter blackspots in Tonbridge and the surrounding area, especially around local woods, paths, parks and local playgrounds. Litter can be harmful to wildlife, and its not nice to see when walking in the local park with my son. I want to organise local litter picking/clean up days to improve the local environment for everyone. In times when the local councils are cutting funds for street cleaners the litter problem will be sure to get worse, we all have a responsibility to improve our local environment. Weston Litter Group
Weston Litter Group was set up in 2010. We meet on the 1st Saturday of every month at the Moravian Church car-park (just off the High Street roundabout). We cover all areas of Weston, such as the High Street, The Rec, Southlands, Eastville Avenue, Broadmoor Lane, Cotswold Way etc. We have all our own equipment....McDonalds have kindly donated 10 litter grabbers, Chaplins Newsagents abled us to purchase 20 pairs of gloves and Bath & NE Somerset Council supply us with bags and a collection service.
