We will clear the section from Fleurs Place to Orchard Bridge. Please meet at 10am on Saturday at the footbridge by the chip shop I would like to thank you for your help this year in keeping the Mosset Burn clean. We had six very successful picks, clearing over a 120 bags of litter. Our group has increased in size making it is much easier to clear large sections of the burn. Today we cleared 9 bags of trash, 3 bags of tins, 3 bags of plastic bottles and one bag of glass. We also removed 4 heavy steel brake discs from a car and motorcycle, these had been dumped from the foot bridge. So clearly someone is fly tipping in this section. We still continue to remove large amounts of sweet wrappers, chip cups and polystyrene food containers. Many thanks to Steve for transporting all the waste to wastebusters and putting it in their respective recycle containers.
Thank you to Karen for sending letters to the Academy, chip shop and convenience store in an effort to get them to take a greater role in the litter problem. It may be worth trying to adopt a plastic free Forres. Thanks to Brian for joining us from Adopt a Street litter pick group. Going forward I think it makes sense for us to help out with them on their picks and in turn they may join us. I will keep you updated on their next pick. As the burn is filling up and winter is setting in, our next pick on the burn will take place next year, around March or April. Steve no 2 has suggested we try and do a pick higher up the burn, nearer the Loch, so let's keep this in mind for next year. Best Wishes Adrian Hutchins.

An important part of our work is with young people. We have met with Junior schools, Brownies and Cubs, and talked about the reduction of litter and recycling.
We liaise with other environmental groups in the area, particularly those with similar aims to ours and we work closely with the local Borough Council.
