We had another successful litter pick in the rain this morning. I was telling Steven that the only time that we won't meet up is if the burn has iced over(or having a snow blizzard). We collected 10 bags of garbage, possible 6 bags of recyclables (plastic bottles, glass and tins). There is a large quantity of cider bottles, seems that it is so cheap and easy way to get drunk. Items of interest were a bicycle saddle in great conditions, several balls for Pippa, pens and a ruler. Great to see less bags and dog poop. We also hauled out a lot of wood and branches We missed all of you that usually make it, hope your colds clear up. I am working on getting a grant that will allow us to employ someone to do work once a week on the burn. I will need to set up a charity, get insurance and complete a host of other things, will keep you all updated. Thanks once again for your help today. Our next pick will be on the 2nd Saturday of June, update will follow closer to the time.
