The next litter picking event will take place at the popular Singleton Lake, South Ashford. Meeting point will be by the two boulders. If you are driving you can park at the end of Bucksford Lane car park. Litter pickers, heavy duty gloves, high vis vest are provided. Hope to see of you there. Kent Wildlife Trust kindly confirmed the even will not cause disturbance to birds around the lake. As a general rule, birds will be nesting from March until middle July, so minimising disturbance in that time is helpful. However an activity like litter picking, as long as it isn’t too destructive, should only cause short time disturbance. Be aware of moving large objects (anything which birds can get inside), that may have been occupied by birds. Thank you. Keep Ashford Clean .

Coventry Canal
I am an individual who walks part of the Coventry canal to and from work everyday. I have only been walking along the canal since October 2017 despite being a Coventrian my entire life! It is the city's best kept secret and so peaceful and calm away from crowds and cars. But it makes me angry and sad to see such a beautiful habitat ruined with litter so I started picking litter! I usually pick on my way to/from work in the week but I plan to do more at the weekends and travel further to notoriously messy parts of the canal. LitterFree Durham CPRE
We co-ordinate activities for the CPRE litter campaign Stop the Drop in County Durham and Darlington. Chailey Litter Pickers
Chailey Litter PIckers have now been active for over a year, having formed in April 2016. We meet as a group monthly, to pick as wide an area as we can in one go. Group members also pick around their own area between group events. Some equipment is always available for group events and I can help people to purchase their own equipment if they would like to do so - gloves, grabbers, bag hoops. We will happily also travel to pick in other areas to help out on group events or to pick in areas where a particular need has been brought to our attention.
