Litter picking at Junction 26 (Honey Lane)

We are local people working with Elmbridge Council to maintain and improve Hurst Park, East Molesey, which is 80 acres of public open space along the Thames upstream of Hampton Court and Molesey Lock. Hurst Park comprises a number of habitats: mown grass, wildflower meadows and grassland, copses, damp scrapes and river edge.

The Tidy Tetbury Team aims to bring together all those who want to see Tetbury kept tidy and looking good and who are happy to help achieve this by coming out to pick up litter. At the moment, we think that the obvious areas that need tidying up from time to time are likely to be The Rec, the area by the old railway shed, Love Lane (between Tesco and The Chipping) and the path behind Hampton Stores that leads to William Romney's School. But we also think that the Tidy Tetbury Team should be there to help and join in with anyone who wants to tackle the litter problem in their part of Tetbury. Our aim is not only to keep Tetbury tidy but to have fun and make new friends as we do so. Grand Avenue and Wilson Road Grass Areas

We co-ordinate activities for the CPRE litter campaign Stop the Drop in County Durham and Darlington. These include acting as a central focus to which reports of litter grot spots may be made; making regular personal contact with Local Authorities, Parish Councils and tourism organisations; organising litter picks throughout the county; spreading publicity for the Campaign; and taking a programme of litter-awareness education into local schools. We are dog walkers and pick up on our walks in and around Crowborough, the Asdown Forest and wherever we caravan.

Keep Forebridge Tidy is a group made up of likeminded individuals within the Forebridge Ward of Stafford who want to keep the area tidy. The scheme works by each volunteer taking ownership of their street, selection of streets or part of their street and keeping it free from litter by conducting regular litter picks. No formal litter picks are arranged allowing volunteers to litter pick as and when they can.

I am tired of seeing rubbish and dog fouling in my local area. We have a beautiful park and nature reserve and I'm seeing more and more fly tipping not just here but all around my local area. I am hoping there are like minded people out there who for a few hours whenever you can we can organise a clean up of the most blighted places and into the bargain get some much needed excercise and make a few friends along the way.
