We remove rubbish from open spaces (streets, parks, woods, waterways, car parks, etc etc) throughout the London Borough of Ealing.

An informal group within a small village with the aim to reduce the use of plastics and waste.

A gathering of volunteers who meet in the painted bus shelter in High Bentham at 1pm on 13th of each month. We spend an hour or so litter-picking, weeding, planting or generally clearing up around our market town. We also put pressure on the Town Council or District Council when we come across something that we need to tackle in partnership with a larger, more official body.

I am an individual who walks part of the Coventry canal to and from work everyday. I have only been walking along the canal since October 2017 despite being a Coventrian my entire life! It is the city's best kept secret and so peaceful and calm away from crowds and cars. But it makes me angry and sad to see such a beautiful habitat ruined with litter so I started picking litter! I usually pick on my way to/from work in the week but I plan to do more at the weekends and travel further to notoriously messy parts of the canal. Community-led Environmental Action for Regeneration is a voluntary group established in 2007. As residents of a neglected urban regeneration area, we aim to improve the local environment and to help build pride in our local community. CLEAR works to improve the appearance and character of the Buckhaven & Denbeath area through a range of actions which include: • Litter clearing + recycling: improving greenspaces around town, organising both special and ongoing cleanups + recycling collected waste. • Planting: making public open space more attractive by planting flower bulbs, shrubs and trees in parks, shoreline, roadside verges, coastal path and other locations. Smallscale landscaping - installing railings, painting, wall murals, and similar especially focused on neglected or rundown spots • Advocacy, lobbying: Influence policies and practices of key actors such as political representatives, Fife Council, other agencies to combat misuse of public space, encourage investment and improvements in services, tackling eyesores. • Others: CLEAR works with others especially Kinetic/YMCA youth project, Community Wardens, other Fife Council departments. We also started some local public talks to help build community awareness

Primrose Parks Alliance is a community group with a shared purpose. We would like to make our parks and green space an environment we are all proud to enjoy. The group is formed from the amalgamation of Friends of Valley View and Springwell Park and Keep Mill Dene Clean community groups. Aims: Keep the area clean and litter free by organising litter pick events. Progress local maintenance issues with the correct agencies, authorities, environmental and charity groups. Identify partners, resource support and funding opportunities and work together to engage, educate, inspire and to close any gaps where the appropriate agencies cannot fully support. Take a long-term view of the area and eventually expand activity to include the development of infrastructure, events and public engagement in the Primrose green spaces.

Mashamshire is an area of outstanding beauty. We are doing what we can to preserve it. We do litter collection along the lanes and footpaths in and around Masham - and we find loads of plastic. We are reducing the impact of micro-plastics on the diet of your children and grand-children! A Masham resident has kindly offered to pay for our group meeting coffees. Many thanks.
