Five days of litter picking fun starting on Thursday 14th March and ending on Monday 18th March as part of the Great British Spring Clean organised by Keep Britain Tidy. Day 1: Thursday 14th March, meet at 10am at Chailey Green Day 2: Friday 15th March, meet at 10am at Chailey Free Church, South Chailey Day 3: Saturday 16th March, meet at 10am at the sports ground, North Chailey Day 4: Sunday 17th March, meet at 2pm at Chailey School car park, Mill Lane Day 5: Monday 18th March, meet at 10am in the little road behind May Cottage Cafe, North Chailey Please bring grabber and gloves if you have them and wear sensible footwear. Some equipment is available on the day. .

Tetford Volunteer Group
Our first litter pick took place in November 2016. People stopped their cars & asked how to get involved, more have joined since. We live in a beautiful area & want to get rid of the litter which spoils the countryside. 6 Local businesses & 2 village residents have sponsored us & we now all have our own equipment (not borrowed from the District Council) Our hi-vis vests have a litter picking logo on the back & the Sponsor's name on the front. Our Parish Council support us by insuring us and a local garage has offered assistance.

Fishponds Clean Streets
Fishponds Clean Streets was established in 2016 and is run by a few volunteers with the aim of helping keep the streets cleaner of litter. There was an extended period owing to COVID restrictions when we were not able to operate, however we are back up and running again now. We usually meet for an hour and a half on a Saturday morning once a month and always publicise our litter picks here on this page, where we also report on our activity after each litter pick. Thanks to those who joined in on Sat 5th Feb and to Rachel for coming along with her family. Between us we collected 7 sacks of rubbish and 6 of recyclables. We hope to meet again in March, so do keep an eye on this page for updates! Mashamshire Litter Busters
Mashamshire is an area of outstanding beauty. We are doing what we can to preserve it. We do litter collection along the lanes and footpaths in and around Masham - and we find loads of plastic. We are reducing the impact of micro-plastics on the diet of your children and grand-children! A Masham resident has kindly offered to pay for our group meeting coffees. Many thanks. As we go about Mashamshire we get many kind appreciations from folk that we meet.
