Meet at 1.45pm war memorial gardens in Carlton. Event to last approx. 1.5 to 2 hours. Litter to be collected from verges and hedgerows along this road, starting from Carlton and returning in opposite direction to finish back at start point. Members only of The Green Army volunteering group. If you wish to join us please contact group co-ordinator whose details are on this page. Thank you. We were blessed with a perfect Spring day for our first group event. There were 7 of us altogether and we successfully cleared the Turvey Road, collecting a whopping 25 large sacks of litter, and in addition 64 glass bottles! It did take us four hours which was much longer than anticipated and we were all rather worn out at the end! A little shorter in duration next time I think we would all agree! .
