Weekly Winchester-based litter picks focusing on roadside verge clearance along with Winchester City Street Cleaning Company, Idverde

Petersfield Pickers Community Group has been formed by a number of volunteers on the Petersfield Pulse Facebook Community Page. Members of Petersfield Pulse are all from Petersfield and surrounding areas.

We are a group of Ushers at the Hawth Theatre here in Crawley fed up with the disgusting mess left in the auditorium, after some of the shows. Recently we had new carpets and seating installed but despite this the litter and even chewing gum on seats is as bad as ever.

Winchester Litter Pickers were founded in 1995 when three people decided to do more about the litter problem in and around the City. Currently (December 2021) we have over 40 active volunteers and many more supporters. We think it is especially important to give visitors to Winchester a good impression of the City. During the summer months we tidy the Outer Close of the Cathedral daily in the late afternoon and on Monday mornings throughout the year we clear the approaches to the railways station. Twice a month on Wednesday mornings we clear suburban areas in turn, concentrating on the streets and open spaces near the local shops and in particularly bad black spots. We are very much into recycling, recovering the cans, glass and plastic bottles we collect wherever practicable. We are also keen to limit the damaging effects of plastic litter. We are a very sociable group and normally meet up for hot drinks and chats after our litter picks. We also have a very popular annual party. We are a friendly group of people who want to keep Great Horton tidy and clean

Primrose Parks Alliance is a community group with a shared purpose. We would like to make our parks and green space an environment we are all proud to enjoy. The group is formed from the amalgamation of Friends of Valley View and Springwell Park and Keep Mill Dene Clean community groups. Aims: Keep the area clean and litter free by organising litter pick events. Progress local maintenance issues with the correct agencies, authorities, environmental and charity groups. Identify partners, resource support and funding opportunities and work together to engage, educate, inspire and to close any gaps where the appropriate agencies cannot fully support. Take a long-term view of the area and eventually expand activity to include the development of infrastructure, events and public engagement in the Primrose green spaces.

We are a volunteer group of local residents tackling litter pollution and fly-tipping in the Stretford, Longford and Gorse Hill ward areas of Trafford through community-led action. Our mission is to make our neighbourhood a safer, cleaner and greener place for wildlife and residents to live and enjoy. We encourage our members to conduct solo litter picks and organise regular community clean-up events for those who want to make Stretford a litter-free zone. We also advocate for local and national initiatives that can help drive long-term environmental behaviour change, while working closely with Trafford Council, schools, local businesses and community groups to target problem areas and raise awareness about the damage caused by litter and fly-tipping.

We have come together to do positive things, where we can see ways we can help, to make our town even better than we already know it is. We love Broadstairs. We know that most of the people who live here do too and that visitors often fall in love with it from the moment they arrive. It's a great place. But nowhere is perfect and let's face it, if it was it would be boring. We're always thinking of new ideas of things we can do that will make a positive difference and address some of the issues and challenges our town faces. Our aim therefore : Make Broadstairs an even nicer place to work in, live in or visit.

We are a group of local residents who are keen to make Palmers Green a beautiful and thriving place to be. We have ad hoc litter picks which we organise through our volunteer WhatsApp group.
