FarleighEvents
Farleigh Events is run by residents of West Fareligh to promote community and address our shared issues.
One such reoccuring issue is that of litter, so with the help of this group we would like to keep the local area clean and tidy.
Bennett\'s Community Crew are a team of people from Bennett Restaurants Ltd. (a franchise of McDonald\'s) who want to make a difference in their local area. We currently have 18 restaurants across Hampshire, Dorset & Wiltshire and St Helier in Jersey. As well as doing litter patrols on a daily basis in our local areas, we have bigger events at least quarterly.
We have been working in our local communities from before 2011 however only formed as Bennett\'s Community Crew in early 2015. We have a Planet Champion in each of our restaurants who champion their local community. We are always looking for local events to take part in.
Handsworth Helping Hands is a voluntary group committed to improving the quality of life in Handsworth, Birmingham.
This may be by carrying out environmental work such as street clean-ups and clearing and planting public spaces, or by helping residents with jobs they can't or don't have the means to do for themselves. Whenever possible, we recycle materials and items such as furniture and toys that we find on the street or which are donated to us.
Fishponds Clean Streets was established in 2016 and is run by a few volunteers with the aim of helping keep the streets cleaner of litter.
There was an extended period owing to COVID restrictions when we were not able to operate, however we are back up and running again now.
We usually meet for an hour and a half on a Saturday morning once a month and always publicise our litter picks here on this page, where we also report on our activity after each litter pick.
Thanks to those who joined in on Sat 5th Feb and to Rachel for coming along with her family. Between us we collected 7 sacks of rubbish and 6 of recyclables.
We hope to meet again in March, so do keep an eye on this page for updates!

We aim to clean up and maintain an urban nature reserve and ancient woodland right in the heart of a built up industrial area.
Saltwells Woods and nature reserve is well used and well loved, and was recently saved from having a housing estate built on it, but sadly also neglected.
With a renewed vigour now the woods are saved, we vow to make the area as CLEAN & GREEN as we possibly can.

Tidy ↻p St Leonard's ! Holds events to tidy up and improve the streets, paths and woodlands of St Leonard's, East Sussex.
Work with local and county councils, report issues requiring attention such as fly tipping, defective infrastructure and waste requiring collection.
Liaise with local businesses, schools and organisations. Engage with them and raise awareness of the litter problems in St Leonard's. We are a non political group.
Sulgrave Parish Council aims to provide an environment that the community is proud of and encourages volunteer effort to ensure the roads, verges and hedgerows in and around the village are kept clear of litter.
Litter Pick are organised twice a year and many of the villagers will participate in the event.
