To clean our countryside and prevent littering.

Spurred on by the grass verges and parks around our lovely town regularly covered with litter, I decided to do litter picking walks in my free time. I have now formed this group, which is also on Facebook, to encourage others to help. I love where I live and aim to make others proud of their locality, so they think twice before chucking their rubbish. Don’t chuck it, bin it.

Petersfield Pickers Community Group has been formed by a number of volunteers on the Petersfield Pulse Facebook Community Page. Members of Petersfield Pulse are all from Petersfield and surrounding areas.

Hi, I'm Holly and I'm starting out litter picking to help make the area I live in cleaner and more attractive. I walk to work some days and I always marvel at how much rubbish there is, especially after bin collection days and it stays on the streets for weeks, so I wanted to do something about it! Alone but hopefully not for long, I have started picking litter in my area to make it a cleaner and more enjoyable place for everyone. I hope as I get more experience at this I can rally together the troops to start a regular litter picking group to help out and clean up Sopwell! This is a new group that I am setting up. I have in the past 15 years picked up over 5,000 bags of litter in North Harrow and surrounding area. There's more that can be done and I need your help and also help you in your area. Come and join us the Harrow Litterbusters!

We are a small residents association who hold monthly events to improve our area by planting tree pits and troughs, picking up litter and encouraging everyone to keep their front gardens neat and tidy.

Weston Litter Group was set up in 2010. We meet on the 1st Saturday of every month at the Moravian Church car-park (just off the High Street roundabout). We cover all areas of Weston, such as the High Street, The Rec, Southlands, Eastville Avenue, Broadmoor Lane, Cotswold Way etc. We have all our own equipment....McDonalds have kindly donated 10 litter grabbers, Chaplins Newsagents abled us to purchase 20 pairs of gloves and Bath & NE Somerset Council supply us with bags and a collection service. Tewkesbury Friends of the Earth, are a friendly and eclectic group of people interested in working to raise awareness of environmental problems locally, nationally and globally. We meet regularly to litter pick. We also have a Facebook page.

The Hilltop Litter Pickers aim to keep our attractive rural town clean and litter free, both for residents and for the thousands of visitors to its picturesque Gold Hill every year. The group work closely with both the Dorset Waste Partnership and Shaftesbury Town Council. We have been sponsored by the Shaftesbury Chamber of Commerce and local companies Imprint Graphics and Going Underground. Financial support has also been provided through the Community Matters scheme funded by our local Waitrose supermarket in Gillingham. The team meets at the Tesco recycling site, off Christy\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s Lane, at 2.30pm on the first and third Wednesdays of every month. New volunteers are always welcome.
