The Friends of Mile End Park
We litter pick Mile End Park, Tower Hamlets on the second Sunday of every month. We meet at 10am by the Art Pavilion which is by Clinton Road and just off Grove Road. We generally do a couple of hours. We can\'t do the whole park in two hours so we generally head north one month and south the next. Litter pickers, gloves, plastic litter bags, and hoops for the bags are supplied. We collapse in a heap at the end in The Coffee Room afterwards and reward ourselves with cake and coffee, and a good old chit chat.

Are you fed up to walking around your local area and seeing litter everywhere? Well we are!!! So we are standing up and doing something about it. We are based in Keyham by college road primary school and we are going to tidy our local area. Recycle what we can and dispose of the rest! Tetford Volunteer Group
Our first litter pick took place in November 2016. People stopped their cars & asked how to get involved, more have joined since. We live in a beautiful area & want to get rid of the litter which spoils the countryside. 6 Local businesses & 2 village residents have sponsored us & we now all have our own equipment (not borrowed from the District Council) Our hi-vis vests have a litter picking logo on the back & the Sponsor's name on the front. Our Parish Council support us by insuring us and a local garage has offered assistance.
