Welcome to the Keep Stoke Tidy group. We are a small group of volunteers with an increasing concern about the litter across the city. It seems difficult to walk more than a few yards lately without coming across at least one discarded face mask, food wrapper or empty plastic bottle. Rather than choose to live with this we have decided to improve the situation by making a city-wide litter-picking network that we are calling ‘Keep Stoke Tidy’. Our aim is to make sure that every area of this wonderful city has an active litter picking group and through the wonder of social media we would like to support those groups in advertising litter picking events. For those areas that don’t have a litter picking group it would be great to see new ones start up. Throughout the year each group will continue to have their usual local litter picking days but with a larger network it would be brilliant to think that each month of the year we could vote for an area to focus on. We could then arrange an event with a larger group of volunteers, with as many people as possible from all of the other groups coming to work together to focus on that area. 'Putting litter where the sun doesn't shine!' A small group of like-minded people focused on tackling litter hotspots in and around the Teignmouth / Newton Abbot area.

Meets regularly to litter pick around Horsbere Brook and Mill Lane playing field.

The Tower Hamlets Beautiful Borough Project aims to help residents in Tower Hamlets to take control of their neighbourhood and to clean it up, enabling people not only to live in more pleasant surroundings but also to get to know each other better and make their community safer and friendlier

I have a holiday residence and appreciate all that all the DD's do to help keep the area litter free and welcoming. When in Bournemouth I would like to do my bit to help.

Abbington Park

I am a walker / runner living in the St Cleer, Liskeard area fed up with seeing discarded litter cluttering the country lanes and endever to do a litter pick every Saturday morning following a 5k circuit around the villages. You are welcome to join me and help. Bring you HI Vis Jacket & black bags.

We have 26 active litter pickers each one of whom takes responsibility for a stretch of road or an area of green space. We meet occasionally to review tactics and to swop ideas. We have a massive litter pick once a year to shift an area of accumulated rubbish. We have good relations with the Parish Council and the local authority who are great at clearing flytipping when we inform them.

We meet on a Sunday morning, every other month, to walk around the whole village to clean up. There are over 20 volunteer names on our list!
