There will be a litter pick in Welwyn this Sunday 24th Feb at 11am. Sarah Butcher will meet anyone who would like bags and equipment etc in the car park opposite the Doctor's surgery. We have various roads 'adopted' by volunteers including; Danesbury Park Road and surrounds, Danesbury Reserve, Oakhill Drive & Fulling Mill Lane and Surrounds, Wendover Drive & top end of Church Street and surrounds, School Lane and Surrounds. If you would like to 'adopt' a road near you please let me know! Hope to see you there! There will be a regular litter pick in and around Welwyn on the last Sunday of every month, check on this website for full details. Next pick Sunday 31st March. Fantastic litter-picking this morning and a brilliant turn-out.
10 doughty volunteers well-wrapped against the cold! We picked 10 bags of litter mostly from behind the Clock hotel, round Danesbury reserve, top end of School Lane and surrounds, School Lane and surrounds and the Link Road where we also unearthed quite a nice bike in the undergrowth! Thanks to everyone who came and hope to see you all at the next one on Sunday 31st March at 11am. .
