After requests to make the wood more walker-friendly Park Street Pickers is holding a Community Litter-Pick to rid the wood of litter and rubbish. Please, come along and join us on Sunday 24th April, enjoy the fresh air and exercise. We meet at 10am at the entrance to the wood on the bridle path leading from How Wood towards The Burston Garden Centre. Wear stout footwear and protective gloves, and we will supply all equipment and bags. For more information, phone 873365. Well done to everyone who took part in the clean up where over a dozen local residents mucked in to pull rubbish out of the wood ready for collection by the council contractors next week. At least a skip full of rubbish was collected, probably the equivalent of 40 bags of litter and there is still more waiting for a return visit. .
