BWRA Autumn Litterpick 09.30 at the village sign on Oakwood Road Thanks to the support of 20 #LitterHeroes we made a difference to our village again collecting more than 30 sacks of litter with over 50% in recycling sacks! It beggars belief that most of this litter was thrown out of cars using our lanes and roads!.

Ravenfield Rubbish Rascals
We have 26 active litter pickers each one of whom takes responsibility for a stretch of road or an area of green space. We meet occasionally to review tactics and to swop ideas. We have a massive litter pick once a year to shift an area of accumulated rubbish. We have good relations with the Parish Council and the local authority who are great at clearing flytipping when we inform them.

Collie Collections
Currently most of the work is done by my Border Collie who collects crisp and other wrappers and plastic bottles. She then finds the nearest waste bin and puts the litter in it. She has been doing this for the past 5 years.
