Friends of Cheney Row Park (FoCRP) is a not-for-profit community group managed by a committee of volunteers on behalf of local residents. Events are open to all. We run litter-picking sessions in the park and surrounding area. We also tend to trees, wildflowers and recently planted spring bulbs.

Greater Brislington Together … is a small but official organisation, formed to help Brislington community groups and volunteers obtain funding and work together to help the area flourish.

We are a group of like minded individuals which operate under the umbrella of the Buxton Town Team. We meet once a month on the first Sunday of the month at 11am-1pm. Check out the Buxton Town Team Facebook Page for where to meet as it changes every month, or email me stoop.farm@btinternet.com

This group intends to make the areas around Bradshaw Hall Primary School an example how our public open space, roads, play grounds etc. should look like in terms of cleanliness. Currently, the area is in a relatively good condition when compared with some other areas across Greater Manchester which have been terribly affected by littering, dog fouling and fly tipping. However, there are still a lot of work to be done and a lot of mind-sets to change that it's each individual's responsibility to clean up their own mess.

We litter pick across Ludlow and encourage local residents and visitors to be more litter aware and to reduce, reuse and recycle.

Welcome to the Keep Stoke Tidy group. We are a small group of volunteers with an increasing concern about the litter across the city. It seems difficult to walk more than a few yards lately without coming across at least one discarded face mask, food wrapper or empty plastic bottle. Rather than choose to live with this we have decided to improve the situation by making a city-wide litter-picking network that we are calling ‘Keep Stoke Tidy’. Our aim is to make sure that every area of this wonderful city has an active litter picking group and through the wonder of social media we would like to support those groups in advertising litter picking events. For those areas that don’t have a litter picking group it would be great to see new ones start up. Throughout the year each group will continue to have their usual local litter picking days but with a larger network it would be brilliant to think that each month of the year we could vote for an area to focus on. We could then arrange an event with a larger group of volunteers, with as many people as possible from all of the other groups coming to work together to focus on that area. Ramsgate Litter Forum is a liaison body made up of local voluntary groups meeting regularly with Thanet District Council and Ramsgate Town Council to address litter and waste issues in and around the town of Ramsgate together.

Huntsham is a tiny village in mid Devon. For the last four years, Huntsham Society members and our local community (farmers and all) have joined forces twice a year to clean up all the many the lanes for a distance of 2-3 miles from the village; once in April before the verges are hidden in new growth, and once in October when the vegetation has died down and the litter can be seen. This April we had a turnout of over 100 helpers, including many children. We have recently combined our efforts with Mid Devon County Councils campaign to help keep Devon clean and green, also twice a year. It would be fantastic if neighbouring parishes could take up the challenge of keeping the lanes clear of litter.

We aim to clear litter from most streets and out to the parish boundaries twice a year.
