Meet at Dove Cottage Debenham at 10 am and again at 12. Pizza, cake and tea and coffee available. Wow, what a turn out! 37 people in the morning and 6 in the afternoon. 103 kg collected plus 8kg of glass, 4 hub caps . A truly social community event, and a godd way to monitor the litter in Debenham , and then decide how to respond.Posters and lealflets have been drafted by professional graphic designer- next step to get them out there , and hopefully have impact!.

Primrose Parks Alliance
Primrose Parks Alliance is a community group with a shared purpose. We would like to make our parks and green space an environment we are all proud to enjoy. The group is formed from the amalgamation of Friends of Valley View and Springwell Park and Keep Mill Dene Clean community groups. Aims: Keep the area clean and litter free by organising litter pick events. Progress local maintenance issues with the correct agencies, authorities, environmental and charity groups. Identify partners, resource support and funding opportunities and work together to engage, educate, inspire and to close any gaps where the appropriate agencies cannot fully support. Tonbridge Litter Pickers
Recently I have been on a mission to clean up the litter in my local area and I need help from local people. The aim of the group is to tackle litter blackspots in Tonbridge and the surrounding area, especially around local woods, paths, parks and local playgrounds. Litter can be harmful to wildlife, and its not nice to see when walking in the local park with my son. I want to organise local litter picking/clean up days to improve the local environment for everyone. In times when the local councils are cutting funds for street cleaners the litter problem will be sure to get worse, we all have a responsibility to improve our local environment.
