Meet at 10am on The Green and help us keep the village looking tidy and clear. All welcome. Litter sticks etc. provided. Free chips to all children who come along, thanks to Ruby's Fish and Chip Shop. Unfortunately, we were unable to attract the scouts or cadets to help us with our litter pick this time. We attracted 5 members of Friends of Thringstone plus one youngster (the granddaughter of one of the members). We only stayed out for an hour and a quarter, but managed to clear the area and woodland of 9 bags of rubbish. As always, this is an ongoing thing, and we continue to litter pick daily round the streets and twice a week in the woodlands..

Primrose Parks Alliance
Primrose Parks Alliance is a community group with a shared purpose. We would like to make our parks and green space an environment we are all proud to enjoy. The group is formed from the amalgamation of Friends of Valley View and Springwell Park and Keep Mill Dene Clean community groups. Aims: Keep the area clean and litter free by organising litter pick events. Progress local maintenance issues with the correct agencies, authorities, environmental and charity groups. Weston Litter Group
Weston Litter Group was set up in 2010. We meet on the 1st Saturday of every month at the Moravian Church car-park (just off the High Street roundabout). We cover all areas of Weston, such as the High Street, The Rec, Southlands, Eastville Avenue, Broadmoor Lane, Cotswold Way etc. We have all our own equipment....McDonalds have kindly donated 10 litter grabbers, Chaplins Newsagents abled us to purchase 20 pairs of gloves and Bath & NE Somerset Council supply us with bags and a collection service. RAYS (Reading Adopt Your Street)
RAYS has been funded by a grant from TESCO to provide equipment and by Reading Borough Council (RBC) to provide equipment storage, promotion of the RAYS project, support in building groups and insurance for RAYS volunteers. The RAYS project covers the whole of the RBC area and will support groups, individuals and schools/uniformed groups to adopt a part of Reading.
