Meet at 10am on The Green and come litter picking with us. Whilst we endeavour to litter pick regularly in the week, there are areas we don't have time to cover. This is the chance to deal with those areas. Equipment available for people to use, plus high viz vests. All welcome. Nice to have 2 young people from Thringstone Primary School join us on our litter pick today. 15 bags were removed from the village by a small group of us in one and a half hours..

Lady Bay Litter Pickers

Instead, individuals are issued with equipment to litterpick an area of Lady Bay of their choice, usually the streets immediately around their home and at times convenient to them. Friends of the Beck (Driffield)

The Askews
Our area around Cornwallis is in a terrible state, with litter everywhere! Dog litter packets laying around, as dog walkers ignore bins and drop off points along the way. At the moment our group only consists of 2 people, Isabella and Tessi Askew. If anyone wants to join, please email tessi.askew19@gmail.com. We could widen the fight on litter. Every little bit helps! Tetford Volunteer Group
Our first litter pick took place in November 2016. People stopped their cars & asked how to get involved, more have joined since. We live in a beautiful area & want to get rid of the litter which spoils the countryside. 6 Local businesses & 2 village residents have sponsored us & we now all have our own equipment (not borrowed from the District Council) Our hi-vis vests have a litter picking logo on the back & the Sponsor's name on the front. Our Parish Council support us by insuring us and a local garage has offered assistance.
