We are a small group who belief action is better than endless discussions on who why and what the litter in our community is about We meet every week to pick up litter for the benefit of all

Our area around Cornwallis is in a terrible state, with litter everywhere! Dog litter packets laying around, as dog walkers ignore bins and drop off points along the way. At the moment our group only consists of 2 people, Isabella and Tessi Askew. If anyone wants to join, please email tessi.askew19@gmail.com. We could widen the fight on litter. Every little bit helps! Let's return the respect the environment deserves!

Erdington Litter Busters was founded in June 2018 by Rob Gunnell. The idea was to start cleaning up Erdington bit by bit, then grow into a community of volunteers who could keep the area clean. Now we have some support, and a growing group of us meet up twice a month on Saturday mornings near Six Ways island, clear different areas, and have a friendly coffee afterwards. The more people that help us, the greater the difference we can make - and people are already seeing the area improving.

Fylde Litter Action Group (FLAG) is a partnership between Fylde Council departments and various other local organisations, street reps and voluntary groups that are concerned with tackling litter within the Fylde Council area, including the St Annes Beach Care Group, Fairhaven Coastal Care Group and The Friends of the Estuary Coastal Care Group in Lytham. FLAG has been set up with the ultimate aim of preventing dropped litter in the area. FLAG is also involved with educating on litter related issues by providing advice, information practical assistance and enforcement where needed. FLAG = WORKING TOGETHER FOR A CLEANER GREENER FYLDE!

Highgate area

As from October 2021, we will be operating as normal and resuming our monthly organised litterpicks in the Allington area. These usually take place on a Sunday morning starting at 10am for an hour or so at a venue advertised on the events section. We generally follow our litterpick in a local cafe for a chat and refreshments. We are a small friendly group of like-minded individuals who care about our local environment and want to keep it clean and tidy. If you are interested in joining us then do please get in touch and give us a try - new members are always welcome. All equipment is provided.

Welcome to the Keep Stoke Tidy group. We are a small group of volunteers with an increasing concern about the litter across the city. It seems difficult to walk more than a few yards lately without coming across at least one discarded face mask, food wrapper or empty plastic bottle. Rather than choose to live with this we have decided to improve the situation by making a city-wide litter-picking network that we are calling ‘Keep Stoke Tidy’. Our aim is to make sure that every area of this wonderful city has an active litter picking group and through the wonder of social media we would like to support those groups in advertising litter picking events. For those areas that don’t have a litter picking group it would be great to see new ones start up. Throughout the year each group will continue to have their usual local litter picking days but with a larger network it would be brilliant to think that each month of the year we could vote for an area to focus on. We could then arrange an event with a larger group of volunteers, with as many people as possible from all of the other groups coming to work together to focus on that area. Chailey Litter PIckers have now been active for over a year, having formed in April 2016. We meet as a group monthly, to pick as wide an area as we can in one go. Group members also pick around their own area between group events. Some equipment is always available for group events and I can help people to purchase their own equipment if they would like to do so - gloves, grabbers, bag hoops. We will happily also travel to pick in other areas to help out on group events or to pick in areas where a particular need has been brought to our attention.

I am currently dismayed at the sheer amount of trash littered on Salisbury plain and surrounding villages. I am happy to clean myself and happy to work with others if they want.
