We co-ordinate activities for the CPRE litter campaign Stop the Drop in County Durham and Darlington. These include acting as a central focus to which reports of litter grot spots may be made; making regular personal contact with Local Authorities, Parish Councils and tourism organisations; organising litter picks throughout the county; spreading publicity for the Campaign; and taking a programme of litter-awareness education into local schools. Tidy our community while building our community!

Having written to the council and asked them what they're doing about the litter in the area I thought this looked interesting. Not sure if there are any other people around Mossley Hill who aren't keen on the litter, particularly around Rose Lane but I wondered there might be enough people to do a group litter collection sometime. It's so nice to go out and find the street clean and tidy, it would be great if it happened more often.

To keep Bredon Hill surrounds litter free, targetting roads between villages initially on an ad hoc basis ... a worthy mission. Up to now over 50 bags in 3 years, a paced delivery :)

To walk and enjoy the beauty of the countryside, while making it even more beautiful as we clean up after others. In the age of microplastics no piece of [plastic] litter is too small.

Spurred on by the grass verges and parks around our lovely town regularly covered with litter, I decided to do litter picking walks in my free time. I have now formed this group, which is also on Facebook, to encourage others to help. I love where I live and aim to make others proud of their locality, so they think twice before chucking their rubbish. Don’t chuck it, bin it.

We are local people working with Elmbridge Council to maintain and improve Hurst Park, East Molesey, which is 80 acres of public open space along the Thames upstream of Hampton Court and Molesey Lock. Hurst Park comprises a number of habitats: mown grass, wildflower meadows and grassland, copses, damp scrapes and river edge.
