We are proud of the community work we do. By getting involved, you can make a difference in your neighbourhood.

CleanupUK has been committed to helping local people solve the litter problem in their area, encouraging voluntary litter-picking activity to strengthen community areas and to make them cleaner and, safer. In London, the charity has engaged over 5,000 volunteers who have formed over 245 residents’ litter picking groups in twelve boroughs. In 2022, we will be joining forces with Chamberlains Estates, a local business in Enfield to tackle the litter problem in this London Borough.

Chamberlains Estates is one of Enfield’s longest established, leading independent estate agents working in the area for over 30 years. The business has volunteered over 100 hours of their time for local initiatives in Enfield, and are investing in purchasing litter-picking equipment for local litter-picking groups. The partnership between both organisations will support the charity to unite various local initiates to maximise the impact of their work. The shared effort will help bring communities closer together, enable neighbours to meet each other, and create a greater sense of pride in Enfield and its surrounding areas.

We are pleased to support community activities that help people to look after their environment, reduce waste and save the planet.

“CleanupUK has been working in Enfield since 2014 and we are delighted to be formalising this partnership with Chamberlains Estates. Litter-picking is a fantastic way to connect communities and make local neighbourhoods safer and more connected whilst simultaneously improving biodiversity. It is deeply encouraging when local businesses take the initiative to positively shape where they live, and we’re excited to see how this partnership will benefit communities in the borough.” Sarah Hayes, Head of Operations, CleanupUK
