Second Litter Pick - We're Definitely Not Flagging

Crewe,CW2 7NE

11 Feb 2012

00:00

We'll be meeting at the car park next to the footpath between Delamere House and Flag Lane in Crewe at 10am on 11th Feb. We will concentrate on the area from the footpath down towards the railway line but if we have enough volunteers we may also tidy up the approaches to the bus station nearby. The area will be muddy, is uneven and there are trees and bushes so appropriate footwear is essential - as are gloves. We met at 10am as agreed. The weather was cold, but dry. We started with nine members, including 3 'newbies' and a new recruit joined us during the 90 minutes we spent picking litter. In that time, we filled 55 refuse sacks with litter, separating cans for specific recycling. Many thanks to those present and to Cheshire East Streetscape who provided equipment on the day and organised access to the site and the collection of the full bags after the pick.
